There were six of us today - three generations - and we had a very good time. Some of the food was traditional Romanian, some more English. It was beautifully cooked, generous in scope and served up with warmth, good humour and friendliness.
We would like to come again.
Brilliant find,my other half just loves this restaurant, only got to say "How about going out for a meal" Answer " only if we go to Roxy's.
No hardship there,great food,great staff,great prices. Go,you won't be disappointed.
Love this restaurant, food fantastic, service fantastic.nice relaxed atmosphere, made to feel so welcome.
Just wish I could go ever night.
We booked Roxy's on the day after being intruiged by such a great and varied menu. We were running late and called to apologise and Roxanne was very sweet about it. The food was absolutely amazing, beautiful wine, tentative and friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. I rarely take the time to write reviews but Roxys really deserves it!
A lovely surprise to try Roxy's this Sunday. The service was caring and excellent, as was the food. We especially recommend the Papanas which was a delicious hot doughnut type of dessert served with sour cream and various choices of jam. Unlike normal doughnuts it was not over-sweet - just yummy! We shall return. Thank you Roxy's.
Having enjoyed several leisurely Sunday breakfasts here we decided to return last night for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We secured a table pouncer deal which made it excellent value. The service was fantastic as always with a good choice of meals not to mention complimentary bread and dips. Even though we had a 'cheap deal' we were made to feel like valuable customers by Roxy herself. Will definitely be going here again.
A group of 4 of us booked a table here as a last minute thing, glad we did as the food was fantastic, in taste and value for money and the service was second to none, would defiantly recommend and will most defiantly return again, thank you for a lovely evening.
We ate at Roxy's this evening with friends, it was our first visit here and will most definitely not be the last...! The service was second to none from this family run establishment, the great good and attentive and polite staff put this place right at the top of my eating out list.... Everyone should take the time out to visit this little gem!
If you're in Bournemouth for the weekend and want to avoid the chains, then head down to Roxy's for some great grub. A good mix of food on the menu from local fish, varied vegetarian dishes to classics. I went for steak and chips and 'I love steak and chips' so I was very pleased with what was served up. Reasonably priced food and drink, coupled with a good atmosphere on a Saturday evening, this was a lovely place to eat with friends.
Last Sunday, my wife & I got back into Bournemouth, and as it was still a nice evening, we decided to visit Roxy's Bistro Bar again. Not only were we made to feel welcome by Roxy herself, it seemed everyone else in there at the time was too. It's was good to be able to have a drink at the bar, and, while we were enjoying those, we decided to stay and eat, having been tempted by the specials board. I still looked through the extensive menu, but went for the chicken wrapped smoked salmon. My wife had the spinach crepes, and we both really enjoyed our meals. For such a cosy and friendly restaurant we are both still amazed at the variety of dishes on offer. Service and welcome were both excellent, food was great, and all for a reasonable price. If you haven't eaten there yet, we can both highly recommend that you give it a try.
